1. Google Chrome Will Support Dark Mode in macOS Mojave by Early 2019 - As mentioned on Reddit, a Google developer recently submitted a code change that implements system-level Dark Mode in Chromium, the open source web browser that serves as the foundation of Chrome. The code change passed the review process and will make its way into a future release of Chrome.
For those unaware, there are several different builds of Chrome that Google uses to slowly test and roll out new features. All code changes begin in Chromium and then work their way from Canary to Chrome Dev to Chrome Beta to Chrome, the stable version released to all users roughly every six weeks.


2. Honor View20 to come with 48-megapixel primary camera, in-screen front camera - Huawei sub-brand Honor, and not Xiaomi, is the first smartphone maker to launch a mobile device with a 48-megapixel main camera. On December 26, it will also be the first to introduce a smartphone with in-screen camera solution. Since the launch of the Huawei P20 Pro early this year, smartphone makers have been engaged in a race to offer the best camera experience on a smartphone. This has led to develop phones with cameras that have higher megapixel counts.
Huawei set the bar high with the launch of the P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro, which features a 40-megapixel main sensor. Now, Honor, the e-brand of Huawei has defeated it to showcase a smartphone with 48-megapixel main camera. With View20, set to launch in China on December 26, Honor will have a smartphone that brings two new technologies to the main front


3. Oppo unveils 5G prototype version of Find X; restates commitment towards 5G ecosystem - Oppo has unveiled a 5G prototype version of the Find X at the 2018 China Mobile Global Partners Conference. The company has re-emphasized on its commitment towards a new 5G industry ecosystem and again said that it’ll be one of the first company to launch commercial 5G smartphones in 2019.
The Chinese smartphone company has been working on 5G standards, product R&D and the exploration of applications since early in 2015. The Oppo Find X 5G prototype comes with engineering sample Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and X50 5G modem, which will offer outstanding 5G performance, said the company in a press statement. It is looking to deepen collaboration with Qualcomm and other supply chain partners.


4. Xiaomi’s 48-megapixel Redmi smartphone likely to feature in-screen front camera - Xiaomi has already revealed that it is working on a new smartphone featuring a 48-megapixel rear snapper. This smartphone will be launched sometime in January 2019. Now, according to the latest report, it will be a flagship-class smartphone with a full-screen display featuring a selfie-camera hole. Lenovo, Huawei and Samsung are already working on smartphones with an in-screen front camera, and Xiaomi is also reportedly adopting this new tech.
With a 48-megapixel rear camera and in-screen selfie snapper, you would naturally expect the smartphone to be a part of the flagship Mi-series, but according to a report on MyDrivers (via GizmoChina), it would be a part of Redmi-series. The display will reportedly be supplied by Chinese supplier BOE, and due to in-screen punch hole camera, the smartphone is expected to feature an impressive screen-to-body ratio

5. Here’s a closer look at the Honor View 20’s display hole camera sensor - We’re in Hong Kong to check out Honor’s new View 20 smartphone, and even though we haven’t had an opportunity to see the phone without a protective case, we did get a glimpse at its new “all-view” display hole camera sensor.
The hole is just .45mm wide and resides in the top left side of the upcoming phone’s display. Honor is testing this display tech as well as the new “slide” method in their Magic 2 smartphone, to see which trend catches on over the next year or so.
